This training/education presentation is open to all interested in reducing levels of violence in New Zealand. This down to earth presentation is being launched in New Plymouth on Monday 27th June at Community House at 6.30. Cost is $20.
I have been working for the past 26 years as a counsellor educator and have significant experience in working with those whose anger and violence have led to repercussions such as prison, and loss of relationships. We need to break cycles of violence, and work toward reducing violence toward those in the community who are unable to speak for themselves. First we need to understand anger and learn how to prevent violence in ourselves and others. Violence is a behaviour. We can choose to be violent, or we can choose not to be violent.
